Theatrical believes that community made performing arts is a great way to bring people together. To share skills, socialise and to promote positive mental health.
Theatrical is about so much more than singing, dancing and acting. Although we are known for our high quality musical theatre productions, most of the volunteers involved with Theatrical are not seen on stage. These are the people who build the sets, make the costumes, paint sceneries, volunteer as stage crew and ushers and our technicians who create our sound, lighting and visual effects.
By working together on something creative and challenging, we can achieve so much more than we ever could have alone. And by sharing our love of performing arts with others, we can help to create a more vibrant and connected community.
The Men’s Shed ethos is to promote positive self image, productivity, community contributions, creating social connections and maintaining an active body and mind. Theatrical Community Shed proudly welcomes people of any gender identity.
If you like the sound of working alongside creative people in a supportive, safe environment to make things that will be used in musical theatre productions then you might find that Theatrical Community Shed is what you have been looking for.
