The Story

Based on the beloved 2003 film, School of Rock follows Dewey Finn, a failed rock star down on his luck. After being kicked out of his band and threatened with eviction, he intercepts a phone call meant for his flatmate and poses as a substitute teacher at the prestigious Horace Green prep school.

Horrified to find his straight-laced students know nothing about rock, Dewey moulds them into a band for the Battle of the Bands. Along the way, he finds romance, purpose, and teaches everyone the true beauty of rock.

With four Tony nominations including Best Musical, School of Rock brings real pedigree. This Melbourne production kept things fun, delivering an accessible, high-energy night out for audiences of all ages.
