Based on the hit 2003 film, School of Rock follows Dewey Finn, a failed wannabe rock star who is down on his luck. After being kicked out of his band and threatened with eviction, Dewey’s fortunes take a surprising turn when he intercepts a phone call meant for his flatmate, Ned Schneebly. Seizing the opportunity to make some quick cash, he poses as Ned and takes a substitute teaching position at the prestigious Horace Green prep school.
Dewey is initially horrified to discover that his straight-laced, straight-A students know nothing about rock and roll. Determined to change this, he makes it his mission to educate them in the ways of rock music. As Dewey begins to see their hidden talents, he decides to mold them into a rock band and enter them in the upcoming Battle of the Bands competition.
However, he must do all of this while keeping his activities hidden from the prying eyes of the school’s strict principal, Rosalie Mullins. Along the way, Dewey finds romance, self-worth, a proper job, and most importantly, he teaches the children and their parents about the beauty of rock!
